Indoor playground Lykke Land completes Marissa Ferienpark
Recently, ELI Play installed an indoor playground at holiday park Marissa. Christian Puls, Sales Manager Wald & Welle Reeser Meer GmbH, tells us more about the holiday park and the new playground.
In 2018, we started developing the Marissa Ferienpark in Lembruch, northwest Germany. It is located in a nature landscape by Lake Dümmer, Lower Saxony's second largest lake. The holiday park opened in 2019 and today it has no less than 470 units with around 3,000 beds.
In the past few years, we have noticed that the holiday duration in Germany has decreased, people are often looking for short-term holiday destinations that are easy to reach. We can offer this to 20 million people living in Germany within a radius of 400 km!
Holiday park becomes holiday resort
The vast area, the lake and the natural surroundings: the perfect place for a nature-oriented holiday park. Marissa Ferienpark offers its guests a wide and diverse range of facilities, which means it is basically no longer a holiday park, but a resort focused on relaxation and recreation. There is so much to do for every target group!
At the park you will find an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, spa/wellness, large indoor playground, skate park, basketball court and bike rental to explore the area. At the lake you will find a beach with a beach club and water sports rentals for pedal boats or sup-boarding. There are also several restaurants, catering facilities and a large conference room suitable for large groups of up to 300 people.
Holiday park with Scandinavian character
We have Danish roots in the company and this is clearly visible at the park. You can see the typical Scandinavian style in the interior of the holiday cottages and apartments. The 'Hygge' concept is becoming increasingly popular in Germany. The Danish word 'Hygge' can be compared to cosiness, it means creating a nice warm atmosphere, enjoying the little things and moments with lovely people around you. Marissa tries to create this feeling, making the holiday cottages feel like a second home for visitors.
Indoor playground Lykke Land
We wanted to install something extremely fascinating for kids where they can play all year round. That has become a playground and not just any! The indoor playground Lykke Land, which means ‘Happy Land’ in Danish, consists of two large buildings that are connected by a hospitality area. This playground complex has a total surface of 2,500 m². With the addition of the playground Lykke Land, the development of Marissa holiday resort is complete.
Playground equipment for everyone
Lykke Land offers activities for everyone. One hall is designed for children between 0 and 8 years old. Here is a huge play structure consisting of slides, climbing towers, a PowerTower, a Climbing Volcano, a DonutGlider, double ValoJump, rope bridges and the Soft Ball Experience. For toddlers, a separate toddler zone has been installed with a small play structure, ball pit and various soft play items.
The other hall is designed for older children, teenagers and adults. Here you will find a large interactive HiT iT! Arena, a double ValoJump installation and several Climbing Walls. A 20-minute game in the HiT iT! Arena or a few games on the ValoJump feels like a work-out! It is a playground that activates parents as well. We do not want parents to just watch the children, but to join them. With the right mix of fun and sport activities, all age groups are activated in Lykke Land.
The hospitality area that is created between the two play halls has room for more than 300 visitors. Two floors are designed to provide enough space for all visitors and children's parties. Besides that, a special lounge area has been created for (grand)parents who want to escape the crowds. The playground is open for public. So, day guests or neighbours, they are all welcome to come and play with their family and friends!
